Terms of use

These terms cover ordering food through The Long Table at thelongtable.krambach.au. By placing an order you agree to them.

Who we are

The Long Table is a community project started by students of Krambach Public School, NSW. We arrange for meals from a participating restaurant to be collected and brought to Krambach. We do not cook the food.

Orders and payment

  • When you order, your bank reserves the total shown (it may appear as “pending”). You are not charged at that point.
  • If 10 or more orders are placed for a dinner before its order deadline, we charge every order and the dinner goes ahead. Orders placed after that are charged immediately.
  • If fewer than 10 orders are placed by the deadline, the dinner doesn't go ahead, every reserved amount is released and nobody is charged.
  • The delivery fee ($10 per order unless shown otherwise) is paid to the driver. The price of the food is paid to the restaurant. Payments are processed by Stripe.
  • Prices are set by the restaurant and include GST where applicable.

Cancelling and refunds

  • You can cancel your order online until the dinner goes ahead. You are not charged.
  • After a dinner goes ahead, contact us if something goes wrong with your order (for example, a missing or wrong meal). We will work it out with the restaurant and refund where it's fair to.
  • If a dinner that was going ahead has to be called off (for example, the restaurant or driver can't make it), every order is refunded in full.
  • Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Food, allergies and safety

Food is prepared by the restaurant. We can't guarantee a meal is free from any allergen. If you have an allergy or dietary need, contact the restaurant before ordering. Food is carried in insulated heat boxes and should be eaten soon after it arrives. Takeaway orders not collected by the end of the evening can't be held.

Collection

Meals are handed over at the pickup spot shown on your order. Please be there around the serving time. Children collecting food should be accompanied by an adult.

Ordering with or without an account

You can order without an account by giving your name, mobile number and email address. Please use your own email address: receipts and order updates are sent there, and the link in them lets anyone who has it see and cancel that order. If you sign in (with an emailed code or your krambach.au account), please keep access to your email secure. We may switch off accounts that are misused.
